The Seagrass Ocean Rescue Solent project will allow future restoration projects to make informed, evidence-based decisions as to the most successful seagrass restoration techniques to deploy, greatly improving the chances of a seagrass meadow becoming established. The Isle of Wight is a UNESCO biosphere giving us a unique opportunity to tap into a global network, allowing us to further share our story, inspiring and advising others.

Vessel needed to move planting equipment from an easy loading point close to Ryde to the planting sites (Thorness Bay and Priory Bay). The boat will need to come shallow enough up the beach to allow offloading of materials. The activity will take a couple of hours each morning for 2-3 days. There are no planned activities on board the vessel apart from the movement of key equipment.
